Merchant Education Goals 2004 - 2005:

• Update Responsible Alcohol Sales/Service Policy Workshop format and materials

• Grow RASS Policy Workshop capacity to accommodate need for increased attendance

• Encourage and increase manager attendance at RASS Policy Workshop

• Implement culturally specific RASS employee training programs in Latino businesses

• Increase alcohol compliance rates in Latino businesses by 10%

Merchant Education Activities 2004 - 2005:

• Integrate new information and reformat RATSS Policy Workshop - manual, presentation materials, registration flyer, pre/post test, etc.

• Work with business license offices to identify new “approved” RATSS Policy Workshop vendors

• Develop and implement strategies for encouraging manager attendance at RATSS Policy Workshop

  • Invite licensees attending workshop to send managers

  • Network with cultural groups

  • Partner with area business license offices to mail marketing materials in license renewal notices

  • Post marketing materials/registration flyer on website

• Identify partners to implement approved RASS employee training programs in Latino businesses

  • Collect necessary pre/post data to measure change in compliance rates
