Youth Advocacy Goals:

  • Twenty-one youth teams’ participation in “Youth Advocates Rally/Power In Truth” Project

  • Youth teams develop and implement advocacy action plans

  • Increase number of youth advocate spokespersons

  • Youth teams attend follow-up event to share successes during April Alcohol Awareness Month 2005

Youth Advocacy Activities:

  • Identify youth teams to attend YAR – PIT conference
  • Implement joint YAR – PIT Conference with Cobb Tobacco Use Prevention Coalition
  • Provide technical follow-up assistance for youth team action planning
  • Provide media and public meeting opportunities for youth spokespersons to share advocacy messages
  • Develop and implement YAR – PIT celebration; April 2005
